MY FAVORITE SKIN CARE PRODUCTS (DRUGSTORE & HIGH-END)

02 August 2014

Today I decided to talk about my favorite skin care products. I have recently been HUGE into skin care.. because your skin (in my opinion) is the most important part on the outside of your body. Especially after my baby, my skin just went out of whack.. When I was in high school, I would go to the tanning salon pretty much every single night.. sometimes twice a day.... EEEEEEP. I was pretty dark which i was happy with at the time, but i didn't realize the damage i was doing. Now, I do not go to the tanning salons anymore. Girl, if that's what you do.. keep on keepin on.. that's your business. In the summer (before the baby) I would just lay out & get a natural glow tan. this summer, i have yet to layout at all... because I have had no time. but that's okay. i can next summer.

Every morning and every night. I wash my face. I didn't know this (or realize) that when you are sleeping at night.. your body releases toxins & most the time the target part of your body for releasing is your face, unfortunately. so I make sure to never skip washing my face in the morning either. so a recap; morning=washing away toxins & bacteria, and bacteria from pillows, sheets, etc. & night= washing away all day make-up, dirt, germs and bacteria.

First off--- Drink LOTS & LOTS of water. Your body needs it & it is unbelievably healthy.

CLICK ON THE ITEMS PROVIDED:

I only use toner once a day & that usually is in the evening, because I have make up on my face and I want to make sure i get rid of everything.

I exfoliate once/twice a week.
Lierac Paris Micro-Abrasion Exfoliant. It works great! You just rub on for 2-3 minutes & rinse off.

I have very dry/sensitive skin. I switch up my face wash right now. I use 2 different types.

1: Alba Hawaiian Face Wash (Drugstore)

2:Philosophy- Purity (Sephora)

I also have this face oil-- If you are dry, like me... this will be awesome. Even if you are oily, it still is awesome. She also has a 'light' for her line as well. It puts vitamins back in your skin & it is just awesome. You'll thank me.

Now onto my favorite- Moisturizer

There is nothing better than slapping some good old moisturizer on your face. I have used both high end & drugstore. I do not and will not ever be a fan of BB Creams or Tinted Moisturizers. My skin is too sensitive for them, but I will list one that i tried like a year ago.

Day Creams:

One of my favorites that I will always love is Bobbi Brown Extra Repair Moisturizing Balm. (Bobbi Brown)

It has SPF 25 in it (which is awesome) but it is so powerful. I am not kidding when literally a dime size amount is perfect for your whole face. It is very pricey, but I have had this for almost 1.5 years. It goes a long way.

My second favorite high end moisturizer is GinZing Energy Boosting Moisturizer. (Sephora) This is like 10 oranges and a small lemon in a bottle. It smells so good & i use this on the days that I need energy. The smell instantly wakes you up. It is amaze balls. A little goes a long way. I have had this product for almost 9 months.

Night Cream:

The moisturizer I am using right now is L'Oreal Age Perfect Glow Renewal Day/Night Cream. It is a little high priced, but it really makes you get that glow. (Drugstore)

One of the oldies-- but goodies. Cetaphil Moisturizing Lotion. I have used this for like 5 years, and it never fails. It is very moisturizing. (Drugstore)

BB Cream: Moisture Surge CC Cream (Sephora)

Like I said before. my skin is very dry. so these products are mostly for dry skin & give me a lot of moisture.

Either way, you want to dab & press the moisturizer into your skin to get that extra hydration.

Now onto Face Masks.

I am not kidding when I say this is the BEST mask i have ever used in my life. It literally sucks into your skin & pulls away dirt & all the crap that is in your face. I recommend this to everyone. It is pricey, but in my opinion skin care is always going to be pricey. Its a price that i am willing to pay (and because it lasts me like 8-9 months at least. and I mostly get it, when I can afford it at the time.

Get this^^^^^

I really like this mask as well. It is very cheap & affordable. They have a lot of different options, but I personally like the Nugg Revitalizing Face Mask. (Drugstore)

I only do face masks once every week/two weeks.

Another thing that people don't really know ( I recently learned this summer.. is that your make up brushes literally have so much dirt & junk all up in there that you are laying that back onto your skin) Go figure.

I use this  for my brush cleaner: (Drugstore)

I also spray this on sometimes when I am tired. after applying my make-up. I love this so much, i currently do not have this.. but when I can.. this will be mine.

This summer my skin routine is as follows:

Morning-

Wash/Cleanse

Moisturize
Make-up Routine
Spritz (sometimes) Facial Rosewater Spray
Make-up Setting spray

Night-

Make-up Remover

Wash/Cleanse
Face Mask (sometimes)
Toner
Moisturize
Brush Teeth
